Sparrow & Vine “Grapeskins” Tumbarumba Chardonnay 2021

This is our version of an “orange” wine.
Cool climate fruit from Tumbarumba in Southern NSW spent seven days macerating and fermenting on its skins.
After draining and pressing (in our Marrickville car park) it aged quietly in tank and barrel.
The skin contact shows in the deeper colour, punchy pineapple and citrus flavours and supple, pithy, grapeskin derived texture.
Fermentation was with wild yeasts, no fining or filtration and only a tiny amount of preservative sulphur dioxide added. Naturally low in alcohol too, at only 11.5%.
Grapes grown in Tumbaramba, south eastern NSW/ Ngarigo Country.
This is also available as a WINE ON TAP.
