A classic Rhone blend of ancient Grenache (70%), Mataro (20%) and Shiraz (10%). Time in bottle has seen these meld spendidly into a wine that is showing the complexity that comes with age.
The aroma is of plums and tar with a woody, spicy background. The palate is long and savoury with earthy nuances and some oak framing. There’s plenty of dense red fruit and every time you go to the glass a different flavour seems to come out to greet you. That’s complexity.
