The 2016 vintage of our Grenache is now available. Grapes were hand picked on March 1, hand sorted through the crusher/ destemmer (some bunches left whole to add some structure and complexity) and the natural yeasts were left to do their thing. It was pressed out to old french oak barrels for aging.
A touch leaner than the 2015 with fresh red cherry and raspberry fruit buffered by a grind or two of black pepper. Mid palate juiciness and fine tannins showcasing fine textured, elegant Grenache.
Single vineyard planted in 1963. No chemical additions, fermented with wild yeast, minimal sulphur added.
